Shaping in a World of Constant Change

As the adhesives industry confronts shifting regulatory landscapes, rising sustainability expectations, and accelerating technological change in Europe and beyond, future proof agility is becoming a defining capability for long term success. For Henkel, with its 150 year heritage, this means continuously evolving established strengths while preparing proactively for what lies ahead – by recognizing signals early, adapting at scale, and driving reinvention together with customers and stakeholders.

Several developments will shape the adhesives industry and reinforce the need for agility: Regulatory updates are sharpening the focus on transparent, risk based chemical management. A legislative framework driving competitiveness and sustainability acknowledging the enabling role of adhesives for both remains critical for the industry, with circularity at Henkel offering a tangible example of how these requirements can be translated into practice. At the same time, digitalization in material science, supported by emerging industrial data ecosystems, is transforming how innovation is generated, tested, and transferred across value chains.

The keynote will outline how Henkel is preparing for this shifting environment through multiple pathways and will demonstrate how strategic agility enables the company to turn change into opportunity – while continuing to shape the adhesives industry and advance future standards.
