Engineered EAA Emulsion for High-Performance, Sustainable Packaging
Solstice Advanced Materials presents its latest development in packaging innovation: a water-based coating solution engineered to enable packaging to be more sustainable without compromising functionality. Leveraging an ethylene acrylic acid (EAA) polymer emulsion, this technology is designed to help meet the stringent performance requirements of modern packaging applications, delivering excellent adhesion, water resistance and heat-seal ability.
In contrast to conventional polyethylene (PE) barrier systems, this water-based emulsion allows packaging materials to be both compostable and repulpable, directly supporting circular economy objectives and significantly reducing end-of-life environmental impact.
The outcome is a coating solution that combines performance with enhanced sustainability and supports the packaging industry in meeting evolving regulatory requirements while accelerating the transition toward more responsible packaging solutions.
