Developing sustainability roadmaps for the Adhesives and Sealants Industry

To make sure that adhesives and sealant producers are able to meet their sustainability targets, it is essential to be clear on what actions can be taken in the value chain. Many sustainability targets have an intermediate target that needs to be met in 2030, it is important that companies in the adhesives and sealants industry agree on clear targets and deadlines. To be able to supply the adhesives and sealants industry with materials that are lower in carbon footprint while also looking to change feedstocks away from fossil sources, Synthomer has developed the concept of sustainability roadmaps. Sustainability roadmaps should contain clear actions and options that the whole value chain can take to meet decarbonization and defossilization targets and discuss what action will deliver results when. In this contribution, Synthomer will share its approach to creating sustainability roadmaps, showing the industry, how achieving targets is possible by collaborating in the value-chain.
