Optimized Manufacturing Process of SMP with Easy-to-activate Thickener

Manufacturing efficiency represent key contributor in improving sustainability with lower energy demanding process and reduced cycle time. As such, rheology additive in STP sealants becomes an important lever for reducing process complexity and improving robustness. This presentation explores how easier-to-activate rheology modifiers can help lower shear demand, shorten mixing time and broaden formulation latitude while maintaining key performance attributes such as: anti-slump behavior, storage stability, gunnability and smooth application.
This work shows how our latest innovative rheology solution can contribute to more sustainable and resilient STP formulations with significant cost savings related to energy and increased productivity.
