A Technical Approach to 2C-Packaging Technology with Flat-Film and Mixing Ratios
In the evolving landscape of industrial packaging, the demand for systems that balance cost efficiency, material sustainability, and operational flexibility continues to grow. This presentation focuses on a flat-film-based packaging solution for two-component (2C) adhesives, serving as a concrete example of how targeted engineering can address these challenges.
The system replaces traditional dual-cartridge designs with a vertically integrated flat-film structure, compatible with both polyethylene (PE) and aluminium composite materials. This configuration enables precise control over mix ratios (ranging from 1:10 to 1:1) while accommodating a wide spectrum of viscosities—from low-viscosity reactive compounds to high-viscosity pastes. By optimising material usage and simplifying logistics, the solution reduces waste and aligns with ecodesign principles without compromising performance.
This case study is part of a broader capability in developing customised packaging technologies, where technical requirements—such as barrier properties, filling precision, or material compatibility—are translated into practical, scalable systems. The discussion will cover key engineering considerations, performance benchmarks, and adaptability to different application scenarios, offering attendees a framework for evaluating similar challenges in their own operations.
